Barry Hall Installations was established in 1996, born from
the pending Seatbelt Regulations.
Gaining our first contract with the renowned Kassborohrer Setra
Coach Manufacturing Company which was based in Lincoln. Accumulating
the respect within the Coach and Bus Industry, for quality and
value.
BHI created a clear niche within the market place, due prominently,
through our knowledge and the craftsmanship of our installations,
gaining recognition and approval with the testing laboratory
of the Motor Industry Research Association early in 1997.
First to gain a MIRA approved seatbelt installation test on
Plaxton Supremes coaches and at the same time testing and approving
the Duple Dominant installation. Later followed by successful
testing of various configurations of service seats (Dean type
seats).
Adrian Chetwynd who started with the Company as a Design Engineer
in 1997, took over the business in April 2000.
Understanding the need to have handrail protection, to complement
the seatbelt installation, we designed and had handrail padding
manufactured to increase the safety for the occupants within
the vehicles.
Double Decker’s and seatbelts are not the obvious option,
but with the knowledge gained from testing and installing single
deckers, we have proved once again what can be achieved, with
the minimum of down time.
Present Day
Rolling out the latest designs of handrail padding of all shapes
and sizes, to be fitted within new and used vehicles, these
products are a clear benefit over comparative products having
a much increased life expectancy. This is proving a must have
for the industry.
VOSA
We have an exceptional track record of getting things right
for the VOSA inspection. Though it is usually more practical
for the operators to submit their vehicles themselves, we can
arrange VOSA approval.
