Post 2001 RetrofitsThe 2001 pull test demand implicationsVehicles first used on or after the 1st of October 2001 that are intended to be retro fitted with seatbelts require proof of strength by a recorded pull test.* Having designed a test plant and purchased a depot to house it the financial providers have gone all shy on me. Time is running out for the fitting arm of my company so I am having a go at some diversity to raise the necessary.  *Vehicles constructed on chassis built before April 2001 are exempt. Single deck busses will be approved if they meet a strict criteria of under floor steel reinforcements. Double deck busses however are not permitted to be retrofitted unless the model variant has been pull tested. |
